The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior Shnitkey misses with a double jab.
Junior Shnitkey sets himself, and Hussein steps forward looking for the clinch! Junior Shnitkey avoids it this time.
Junior Shnitkey lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Hussein shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Junior Shnitkey defends it nicely.
Hussein doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Hussein tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Junior Shnitkey paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hussein ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hussein fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Junior Shnitkey throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hussein is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Hussein shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Junior Shnitkey pinned against the cage. Junior Shnitkey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Junior Shnitkey tried to counter with a leg kick but Hussein avoided it.
Blake Elliet Junior Shnitkey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krammer Hussein.

We've been hearing good reports from Junior Shnitkey 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Hussein takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
