The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Martin misses its intended target.
Mjolnir sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Martin to the ground! Mjolnir dives into full mount looking to finish!

It looks like Dean Martin has been cut.
Mjolnir content just to control the position here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Martin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mjolnir wants to control the pace but Martin is squirming around nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Merrimac Mjolnir just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Mjolnir throws a leg kick which misses Martin 's front leg but catches the back leg as Martin tries to avoid it.
Martin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mjolnir moves away.
Martin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mjolnir can pounce on him.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mjolnir creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Martin 's defenses.

Mjolnir connects with a nasty looking knee right to Martin 's face.
Mjolnir crunches a lovely knee into Martin 's ribcage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Mjolnir seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Mjolnir creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Martin 's defenses.
Martin wants a takedown but no success here.
Mjolnir lands a hook that snaps the head of Martin backwards.
