Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Flavio Sandoval!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Durden!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandoval feints and then cracks Durden's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Durden down.
Sandoval scores with a body shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Durden.
A nice leg kick lands there from Durden.
Sandoval throws the left hand but Durden avoids the punch easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Durden! But no joy.
Durden throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Durden lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Durden changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Sandoval swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Durden has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sandoval.
Some bone on bone action there as Sandoval checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

We've been hearing good reports from Sandoval's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sandoval feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
