Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Krol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minh Pham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pham fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Krol sprawls well initially but Pham persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Pham seems to be looking for submissions.

Pham is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Krol is just riding it out for now. Pham eventually gives up the hold.

Pham has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Krol can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pham escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Krol gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pham is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Krol defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Krol really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pham should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
