Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rusev Hungary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stuart Dew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stuart Dew has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rusev Hungary's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rusev Hungary!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stuart Dew!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hungary scores with a nice head shot.
Hungary pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dew back to the ropes. Hungary follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Hungary lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Dew with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hungary cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hungary feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dews jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Dew gets caught flat footed, as Hungary shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Dew had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hungary defends it easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dew can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hungary got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dew has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hungary has managed to get both his arms back between Dew's legs - danger averted.
Dew utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Dew has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hungary can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hungary will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dew changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hungary tries to avoid it but Dew manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hungary to the ground. Hungary escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hungary feints and as Dew raises his hands in defense, Hungary changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dew is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hungary's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hungary's back!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hungary accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rusev Hungary.
Well Hungary has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
