Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brad Dillinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brad Dillinger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craig Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards wants to clinch.
Dillinger jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Dillinger misses with a head kick.
Edwards displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dillinger throws out the jab.

Dillinger scores with a takedown into Edwards's guard.
Dillinger slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dillinger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Edwards swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Edwards is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dillinger is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dillinger is looking to work some ground and pound but Edwards has wrist control.

Dillinger gets to his feet. Edwards looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Dillinger looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Edwards!

Dillinger stands up and we're back to a striking position.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A shot in the inside from Dillinger.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dillinger ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dillinger no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Edwards throws a strike but Dillinger rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Edwards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dillinger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Edwards looking for a sweep. Not yet Edwards, not yet.
Dillinger controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Dillinger sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Edwards's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dillinger is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Edwards is trying to maintain the position but Dillinger is very close to passing his half guard.
Dillinger slows the pace down in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Edwards keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dillinger thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dillinger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Edwards is trying to get back to full guard.
Dillinger content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Edwards is concentrating on defense, preventing Dillinger from advancing position.
Dillinger looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Dillinger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You can see the frustration on Edwards's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Dillinger just content to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!


Edwards is looking to clinch.

Dillinger throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Edwards tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dillinger is in Edwards's guard.
Dillinger is pushing down on Edwards's leg trying to pass to half guard. Edwards is fighting to maintain full guard but Dillinger has managed to sneak the leg through.

Brad Dillinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dillinger shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dillinger showed some decent athleticism there.

Dillinger has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dillinger throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Edwards because Dillinger loaded up on that one.

Dillinger sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Dillinger has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Dillinger.

Dillinger's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dillinger thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Edwards holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dillinger tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Dillinger tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Edwards tries to lock up and control but Dillinger gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brad Dillinger dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



The fight moves into the clinch position.

Dillinger pulls guard effortlessly.

Dillinger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Edwards defends it easily.
Dillinger is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Edwards can do to turn this around?

Dillinger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Edwards is one step ahead there.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Edwards accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dillinger has control of Edwards's left arm, preventing Edwards from doing any damage.

Dillinger pushes Edwards off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Dillinger decides to stand back up. Dillinger steps back and let's Edwards get back to his feet.

Dillinger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Craig Edwards has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Brad Dillinger is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Dillinger has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
