Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Last Emperor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Jones!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emperor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.
Emperor shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Emperor closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Emperor pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Last Emperor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Emperor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.

Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emperor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee asks Jones politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jones prefers to stall for the moment though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Emperor manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jones's best efforts.

Emperor is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I looks like Jones might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Emperor fights it but they end up in guard.
Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Emperor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there.

Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Emperor had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jones is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Emperor Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jones's back instead.

Emperor is looking for the choke from the back position but Jones is controlling his hands well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Emperor is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jones defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Danny Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Emperor has his feet on Jones's thighs here. He's pushed Jones off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jones screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
