Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kieth Valdez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Silva!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a wild body shot.

Valdez tries to sprawl but Silva drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Silva is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Valdez has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Valdez holds on for dear life, controlling Silva's posture momentarily.
Valdez tries to lock up and control but Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Valdez wants to control but Silva is having none of it.

Jean Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
