The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ismailov throws a looping overhand right but Sphinx ducks down to avoid it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sphinx enables Ismailov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sphinx manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ismailov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sphinx is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sphinx is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ismailov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ismailov's back!

Ismailov throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Sphinx crashing down! Sphinx tries to stagger back to his feet but Ismailov just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Sphinx asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
