Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Plaskota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edson Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plaskota shoots in but no luck this time.
Plaskota fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Santos throws out a loose jab but Plaskota uses good head movement to avoid it.

Plaskota manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Santos on his heels. He'll look to pass Santos's guard now, I'm sure.
Plaskota wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.

Plaskota thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santos keeping moving, preventing Plaskota from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Santos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Plaskota is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Plaskota wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.
Plaskota definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Plaskota shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Santos as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Plaskota. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Plaskota looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Santos looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Plaskota is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Santos is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Plaskota throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Santos wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
