The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baako uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A telegraphed right hand from Mabuva misses the target.
Mabuva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Baako counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

We've been informed that Mabuva has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mabuva lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Baako has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Baako and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Cedric Mabuva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Baako has Mabuva pressed against the cage, preventing Mabuva from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Baako lands a left hand that snaps the head of Mabuva backwards.

Baako swings wildly with an uppercut but Mabuva uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mabuva seems to have recovered his senses.
Mabuva wants to get back to striking at distance but Baako won't allow it.
Baako has a couple of punches blocked by Mabuva.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mabuva is trying to push Baako away but Baako has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Baako throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mabuvas head.

Baako circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mabuva to the canvas! Mabuva doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Baako keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
