And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bo Dobbins!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dobbins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rojas tried to score with a low kick but Dobbins checks it.
Both fighters circling a little - Dobbins finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Dobbins cracks Rojas with a right hand to the side of the head.


It looks like Arnoldo Rojas has been cut.
Dobbins is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rojas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dobbins as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rojas slaps away a takedown attempt from Dobbins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dobbins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rojas could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Dobbins has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rojas after a bit of a struggle.

Dobbins drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rojas gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Rojas gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dobbins regains guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rojas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dobbins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rojas's guard.

Rojas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dobbins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dobbins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fight stays on the outside here - Dobbins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dobbins.

Rojas manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dobbins on his heels. He'll look to pass Dobbins's guard now, I'm sure.

and Rojas counters with a three punch combo that has Dobbins backing up. Dobbins nods at Rojas to acknowledge the strikes.
Dobbins dives in and grabs Rojas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rojas pushes down on Dobbins's head and hops out.
It looked like Rojas was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Rojas lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dobbins or not.

Rojas jumps into guard, dragging Dobbins to the mat.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dobbins working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Dobbins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rojas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dobbins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rojas wants to stand and escape but Dobbins is having none of it.
