Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Seraphim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Dickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickson lands a head kick!

Seraphim swings for the body but Dickson moves out of range.
Seraphim throws a right and a left that Dickson avoids nicely.
Dickson throws a fast counter high kick but Seraphim manages to duck under it in time.

Dickson gets caught flat footed, as Seraphim shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Seraphim thows a huge punch but Dickson dodges it nicely.

Seraphim has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Seraphim winds up and cracks Dickson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dickson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Seraphim manages to get himself to full guard.

Seraphim is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Dickson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Seraphim has hold of one of Dickson's legs. Dickson is fighting the takedown attempt but Seraphim gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Seraphim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Seraphim's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
