And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tinju Dewa!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dewa has a takedown stuffed.
Ramirez is looking to counter the offense by Dewa and move into the clinch.

Dewa closes the distance and pushes Ramirez back into the cage.
Ramirez tries for a takedown but Dewa manages to get underhooks.
Ramirez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ramirez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dewa looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dewa clinches.
Ramirez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dewa pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Ramirez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dewa walks away with a smile on his face. Ramirez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dewa wants to control from the top but Ramirez keeps moving.
Ramirez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Dewa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tinju Dewa will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Ramirez tries to clinch but Dewa is having none of it.
Dewa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ramirez's waist but Ramirez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dewa off to one side.
Ramirez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dewa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Dewa tries to circle away but Ramirez has him pinned against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Ramirez drags the fight down to the ground.
Dewa postures up in Ramirez's guard and throws a big left but Ramirez blocks it.

Ramirez has Dewa pulled in close to control his posture.
Dewa prevents Ramirez from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dewa decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dewa fails with the takedown.
Dewa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ramirez as he jumps to the side.
Ramirez feinted there with a counter leg kick.

As Dewa tries to get set, Ramirez tries to push him back and clinch up but Dewa manages to avoid the attempt.

Dewa is breathing heavily.

Dewa tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ramirez defends well and Dewa ends up having to push Ramirez into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Tinju Dewa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dewa is pulling down on Ramirez's head. It's preventing any offense from Ramirez, at least for the moment.

Ramirez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dewa manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ramirez has Dewa in his guard.

Dewa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Dewa stands up and waves to Ramirez to follow him.

Dewa has managed to clinch.
Dewa is trying to push Ramirez away but Ramirez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ramirez tries to pull guard but Dewa forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Dewa throws an elbow but misses.
Dewa jumps guard but Ramirez stands there with Dewa around his waist. Dewa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
