And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kurt Spyke!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrett jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Spyke throws a jab but it's blocked by Barrett.
Barrett was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Barrett looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Spyke looks to score with a jab to the body but Barrett is just out of range.

We've been informed that Spyke has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Barrett pushes Spyke away with a front kick.
Barrett just misses with a punch to the body.
Barrett thumps Spyke with a low kick.
Spyke doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Barrett lands a leg kick that knocks Spyke off balance momentarily.
Spyke looks to land a left hand but Barrett moved out of range nicely.
Barrett throws a nice outside leg kick.
Barrett connects with a body shot.

Barrett lands with a nice combination. Spyke backs away looking to recover.
Spyke misses the shot to the body.
Barrett cracks the inside of Spyke's front leg.

Spyke takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Spyke throws a looping overhand right but Barrett ducks down to avoid it.
Jeremy Barrett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Spyke throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Barrett counters with a straight right hand.

Barrett swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Barrett thows a body kick. Spyke tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Spyke on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Barrett connects with a solid leg kick.
Barrett cracks Spyke with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spyke blocks the body kick.

Barrett delivers a nice body kick.
Barrett connects with a body shot.
Spyke looks winded!
Barrett jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Barrett catches Spyke with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!


It looks like Kurt Spyke has been cut.
Barrett connects with a leg kick. Spyke looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Barrett bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Barrett scores with a jab to the head.
Barrett lands a front kick.
Barrett bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Spyke's head.
Barrett lands a brutal head kick. Spyke looks out on his feet and Barrett throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Jeremy Barrett!
A relieved looking Jeremy Barrett thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
