The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solzhenitsyn goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Shinya Alkofer has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Alkofer.
Solzhenitsyn lands a nice shot to the body.
Alkofer misses with a takedown
and Solzhenitsyn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Solzhenitsyn lands a left and a right that send Alkofer crashing to the mat, dazed. Solzhenitsyn thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Alkofer is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Solzhenitsyn lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Alkofer at a distance.
Oh Alkofer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Solzhenitsyn has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Alkofer is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Solzhenitsyn sends Alkofer crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Solzhenitsyn is motioning to the referee to let Alkofer up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
