The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Nelson checks a leg kick.
Lewis misses with a hook to the body
and Nelson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lewis throws a good cross that connects.

Lewis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nelson gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Lewis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nelson.
Nelson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lewis's calf.
Lewis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It looked like Nelson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Lewis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

It looks like Nelson has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Nelson misses with a few strikes there.
Lewis's corner calls for a 1-2. Lewis obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Nelson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lewis.

Lewis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nelson moves away.

Nelson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lewis back to the cage. Nelson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Lewis looks to score with a jab to the body but Nelson is just out of range.
Lewis throws a sloppy body shot
and Nelson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lewis is rocked!
Lewis is aggressively charging in as Nelson backs up avoiding any damage. Nelson tosses out a jab and Lewis runs right into it face first! Lewis is out cold! Nelson dropped down on all fours and is barking in Lewis's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
