And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Bigsby counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bigsby working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bigsby accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Santiago tries to close the distance and clinch but Bigsby swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bigsby shoots in for a double leg but Santiago sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Badauu Santiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Santiago really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bigsby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bigsby shoots in and bounces Santiago off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bigsby works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Santiago is looking to escape.
Santiago is staying active underneath Bigsby, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bigsby is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Santiago!

Bigsby goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Bigsby counters with a three punch combo that has Santiago backing up. Santiago nods at Bigsby to acknowledge the strikes.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Bigsby jumps guard but Santiago stands there with Bigsby around his waist. Bigsby gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Santiago throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bigsby blocks it with crossed arms.
Santiago connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bigsby's face.

Bigsby gets control of Santiago's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bigsby will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bigsby not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Santiago would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bigsby kicks Santiago off and gets to his feet.
Santiago throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Bigsby feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Clayton Bigsby is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bigsby shoots in but Santiago avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Santiago takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Santiago fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bigsby is out of range.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Santiago scores with a shoulder strike.
Santiago is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Santiago tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Santiago gets underhooks to prevent Bigsby's takedown attempt.

Badauu Santiago has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bigsby, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
