Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akisame Hikaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sick Puppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hikaru might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ultimate Battle. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puppy closes the distance and clinches up with Hikaru, looking for a takedown. Puppy pushes Hikaru against the cage but Hikaru circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Puppy enables Hikaru to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Puppy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Puppy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hikaru gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round but I would say that Akisame Hikaru will probably get the nod.
