Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Gabriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and A Boy Named Sue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sue is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by A Boy Named Sue - Johnny Cash. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gabriel lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sue backs up against the cage.
Gabriel throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gabriel scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

and Sue counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gabriel's knee momentarily.
Gabriel avoids the head kick by Sue.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sue looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gabriel misses with a series of wild punches.
Sue gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Gabriel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sue thinking.

Sue wants to counter the offense by Gabriel and move into the clinch position.

Sue shoots for a double leg takedown but Gabriel sprawls well. He's pushed Sue's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sue throws a push kick but Gabriel slaps the foot to one side.
Sue changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gabriel tries to avoid it but Sue manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gabriel to the ground. Gabriel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Michael Gabriel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gabriel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Crunch! Sue slams his shin into Gabriel's torso.
Sue doesn't manage to clinch there - Gabriel circles away.
Sue takes one to the side of the head.

And Sue tries to counter it with a takedown but Gabriel pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Sue shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gabriel as he avoids it easily.
Michael Gabriel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of A Boy Named Sue.

Sue fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Gabriel wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sue has him pressed against the cage.

Sue's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Michael Gabriel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sue fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gabriel.
Gabriel definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

We've been informed that Sue has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Gabriel cracks Sue's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Sue slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Gabriel can do further damage! This one is done, son!
