Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jayson Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tinju Dewa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jayson Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tinju Dewa!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dewa avoids it really well and circles away.
Dewa scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Jayson Ramirez has been cut.

Dewa has Ramirez up against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dewa decides to pull guard.
Ramirez throwing strikes but missing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramirez postures up in Dewa's guard and throws a big left but Dewa blocks it.
Dewa throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Dewa lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ramirez wriggles free and stands up.
Dewa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ramirez swivels and escapes.

Dewa clinches with his opponent.
Dewa has Ramirez pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Ramirez's face as he tries to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dewa pulls guard.
Dewa pulls Ramirez in close to prevent any damage.
Ramirez wants to get up but he can't break Dewa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Dewa wriggles free and stands up.
Dewa throws a sloppy head kick and Ramirez moves out of range easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dewa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ramirez but Ramirez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dewa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dewa is trying to break the clinch but Ramirez is controlling him.

Dewa pulls Ramirez into guard.
Ramirez wants to stand but Dewa has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Ramirez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Ramirez throws a big elbow that misses.
Dewa is trying to keep Ramirez in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dewa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ramirez's waist but Ramirez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dewa off to one side.

Dewa has Ramirez up against the cage in a clinch.
Come on Dewa - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Ramirez wants to take the fight to the mat but Dewa manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Dewa is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ramirez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Dewa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

I really don't envy Dewa right now.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Ramirez controlling the positon.
Dewa prevents Ramirez from getting a body triangle.
Even with his hooks in, Ramirez manages to miss with strikes from the back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dewa can't escape the position.
Dewa just trying to survive but Ramirez is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Dewa wants to get back to his feet.
Ramirez misses with punches from the back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dewa manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Ramirez is now in side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dewa manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ramirez's best efforts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jayson Ramirez will probably get the nod.

Dewa is trying to pull guard but Ramirez turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Dewa gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ramirez.

Ramirez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dewa fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dewa goes for a double leg but Ramirez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ramirez continues to drive forward.

Dewa closes the distance and clinches up with Ramirez, looking for a takedown. Dewa pushes Ramirez against the cage but Ramirez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dewa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ramirez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dewa as he jumps to the side.
Ramirez stuffs the takedown.

and Ramirez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ramirez fails in his attempt to clinch.

Dewa clinches up against the cage.
Dewa trying to control the position but instead, Ramirez has worked for underhooks and has pushed Dewa into the cage.
Dewa is trying to push Ramirez away but Ramirez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Tinju Dewa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dewa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
