Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Octavius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Legend (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerry Legend will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Octavius feints and as Legend raises his hands in defense, Octavius changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Legend is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Octavius is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Octavius postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Legend is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Octavius , into his guard.

Legend trying to control the position from guard on top but Octavius is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Legend is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Octavius knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Legend on the ground.

Octavius looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Legend advances to half guard.
Octavius is looking for a sweep. Legend is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Octavius is in trouble now - Legend has advanced to mount!
Octavius is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Octavius is working hard here to advance position.
Legend raining down hammerfists from mount.

Legend has control of Octavius 's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Octavius regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Legend looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
