PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rage Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yahweh Falwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Falwell's choice of entrance music: Don't Stop Believing. Yahweh Falwell is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machine shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Falwell napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Machine lands a nice forearm strike.
Machine is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Falwell's shoulder. That is not cool.
Machine working the ground and pound.

Falwell is rocked!
Machine working the body and head with strikes.
Falwell is still in real trouble! Can Machine finish him?
Falwell tries to bench press Machine off him but Machine keeps the position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Falwell seems to have recovered his senses.
Falwell is looking for a sweep.
Machine lands a nice forearm strike.

Machine has hold of Falwell's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Falwell tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Machine cranks the arm and Falwell screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Falwell, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Rage Machine!
Yahweh Falwell was interviewed post fight and said 'Hasa diga eebowai. I guess I didn't pray hard enough, or maybe prayed too much. I bet if I rolled more instead of praying, I might have learned to defend submissions. I guess it's God's will. But to quote George Carlin: "If it's God's will and he's going to do what he wants to anyway, why'.
