Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Gordon Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Clancey!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman lands with a straight right. Clancey didn't see that one coming.
Clancey connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Freeman moves away from the strike by Clancey.
A looping hook to the body misses from Clancey. Freeman does a little dance to reset his feet.
A little feinted left hand from Freeman on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A slow jab from Clancey misses its intended target.
Freeman was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Clancey pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Clancey swings widly with a right hand
and Freeman counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Clancey throws a big shot that misses.
A shot to the body from Clancey misses
and Freeman counters with a huge left! Clancey is in big trouble! He's backing up but Freeman isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Clancey from any more damage. A dominating finish by Freeman!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gordon Freeman!
