Garkov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Garkov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Freeman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Garkov postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Freeman can't do much from the bottom here.
Garkov lands a nice forearm strike.
Garkov tries to move to mount but Freeman blocks the move with his legs.
Garkov tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Garkov throws an elbow but Freeman slips to the side and avoids it well.

Freeman pivots and extends the arm, Garkov falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Freeman! Well done that man!
