PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valdemar Friman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chamakh might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Robyn - Indestructible. Friman has chosen Metallica - Damage Inc. as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Friman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Friman is looking for a sweep. Chamakh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chamakh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Friman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chamakh connects with a nice short shot to Friman's temple.
Chamakh is nestled in close to Friman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Friman tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Chamakh has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
