PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Louis Sobiesky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itshak Rabinovitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Itshak Rabinovitch was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Louis Sobiesky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Itshak Rabinovitch!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Sobiesky lands.
Sobiesky rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rabinovitch cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sobiesky has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Rabinovitch.
Sobiesky misses with a kick to the body.
Rabinovitch feints and then cracks Sobiesky's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sobiesky down.
Sobiesky takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sobiesky throws a jab when Rabinovitch was well out of range.
Rabinovitch throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rabinovitch lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sobiesky will feel that in the morning.
Sobiesky looks to land a left hand but Rabinovitch moved out of range nicely.
Rabinovitch counters with a body kick.
Rabinovitch throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sobiesky attempts a counter takedown but Rabinovitch avoids it well and moves away.
Rabinovitch lands with a nice body kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Sobiesky is breathing heavily.
Both fighters circling a little - Rabinovitch finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sobiesky walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rabinovitch.
Rabinovitch bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Rabinovitch cracks Sobiesky with an open hand slap.
Rabinovitch looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sobiesky takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rabinovitch explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Rabinovitch looks to land a combination but Sobiesky avoids it well.
Rabinovitch lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Rabinovitch.

Some wild striking there from Rabinovitch.
Sobiesky rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rabinovitch makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Sobiesky really felt that one!
Rabinovitch throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Rabinovitch keeps Sobiesky at a distance using the push kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sobiesky crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rabinovitch - the referee stops the clock and Sobiesky gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rabinovitch. Sobiesky manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Rabinovitch lands with a nice body kick.
Rabinovitch connects with a body shot that sends Sobiesky's belly button to the back.
Rabinovitch throws out a powerful jab.
A solid body kick from Rabinovitch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rabinovitch lands a big head kick that sends Sobiesky tumbling to the mat! Rabinovitch takes a step backwards and waves Sobiesky back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Sobiesky is rocked!


It looks like Louis Sobiesky has been cut.
Rabinovitch keeps Sobiesky at a distance using the push kick.
Oh Sobiesky is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rabinovitch and Sobiesky are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Rabinovitch throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Sobiesky into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Rabinovitch knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Itshak Rabinovitch!
