Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rocco Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Gromov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gromov has chosen LITTLE BIG- Russian Hooligans as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gromov lands a jab.
Brooks shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brooks showed some decent athleticism there.
Gromov is trying to stand back up but Brooks is controlling him
Still in half guard, Brooks seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brooks seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gromov for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gromov tries to kick Brooks off but Brooks keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Brooks takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dmitry Gromov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A left and a right from Gromov both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Rocco Brooks has been cut.
Gromov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Brooks looking to score a takedown here. Gromov is defending well but Brooks drives through and ends up in Gromov's guard.
Brooks engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Gromov is looking to stand back up but Brooks counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Gromov.

Gromov pushes Brooks off looking to stand but Brooks dives back in and keeps control.
Gromov is trying to escape back to his feet but Brooks uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Brooks is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Gromov will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Gromov tries to escape back to his feet but Brooks has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Gromov's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Gromov is tapping! Brooks saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!

Rocco Brooks decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
