The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeNomee looks for a takedown but Abbott sprawls well.

DeNomee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Abbott looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Abbott tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, DeNomee cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
DeNomee has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Abbott's face.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

DeNomee is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Abbott can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

You get the feeling that Abbott really doesn't like being in this position too much.
