Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Jennings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Mahoney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bryan Jennings has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mahoney clinches up against the cage.
Jennings is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Mahoney blocks an elbow strike from Jennings.
Jennings drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mahoney pulls his leg out and moves away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jennings.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryan Jennings. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jennings misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jennings dives in and grabs Mahoney's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mahoney pushes down on Jennings's head and hops out.

Jennings takes the fight into the clinch.
Mahoney tries for a takedown but Jennings manages to get underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mahoney pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jennings pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mahoney is keeping the position for now.
Jennings controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Jennings wants to get up but he can't break Mahoney's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jennings trying to control the position from guard on top but Mahoney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mahoney is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mahoney looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jennings is one step ahead there.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jennings shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mahoney as he avoids it easily.
Jennings looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jennings is looking to clinch but Mahoney is avoiding it.
Mahoney fails with a takedown attempt.
As Mahoney tries to get set, Jennings tries to push him back and clinch up but Mahoney manages to avoid the attempt.
Jennings lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Mahoney doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Mahoney shoots in and bounces Jennings off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jennings tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jennings is adopting a defensive guard.

Jennings has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mahoney can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jennings controls Mahoney momentarily but Mahoney frees himself.
Jennings is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jennings lands a decent shot there.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Jennings rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mahoney moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jennings darts in looking for a takedown but Mahoney gets double underhooks and turns Jennings into the cage.
Mahoney throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jennings counters with a left and a right that stings Mahoney.
Mahoney tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jennings manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bryan Jennings will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jennings moves in looking to clinch but Mahoney pushes him off.
Mahoney keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jennings shoots in for a double leg but Mahoney sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mahoney misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Jennings counters with a head kick that drops Mahoney to the mat! Mahoney scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Mahoney is rocked!
Jennings goes for a double leg but Mahoney avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mahoney continues to drive forward.
Mahoney is still on wobbly legs! Can Jennings finish him?

Jennings shoots in for a takedown but Mahoney shows good takedown defense.
Jennings is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mahoney sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jennings lands with a right and another and another! Mahoney is in big trouble! Jennings lands again and this time it's lights out for Mahoney! A quality knockout there for Jennings.
