Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alan Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tinju Dewa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tinju Dewa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alan Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tinju Dewa!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dewa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sanchez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dewa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dewa's back!
Sanchez controlling well, preventing Dewa from escaping the position.
Sanchez landing with strikes.
Sanchez controls the action.
Sanchez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sanchez working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Sanchez. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Sanchez controlling the position well here. Dewa rolled but Sanchez kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Sanchez looking to break Dewa's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Dewa remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sanchez will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Sanchez is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dewa is defending well though. Sanchez let's go of the attempt for now.
Dewa manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sanchez's guard. Nice work there by Dewa.

Dewa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sanchez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dewa's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dewa is trying to control the position but Sanchez postures up.

Sanchez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dewa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sanchez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dewa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sanchez sprawls well initially but Dewa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sanchez tries to get to full guard but Dewa has control of the leg.
Sanchez preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dewa is breathing heavily.

Sanchez pulls Dewa in to control the position.
Sanchez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sanchez has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Dewa is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Dewa turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Alan Sanchez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dewa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sanchez moves out of range of the leg kick from Dewa.

Sanchez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Dewa takes the fight into the clinch.

Sanchez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dewa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sanchez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dewa tries to stand but Sanchez is controlling from the bottom.
Sanchez is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Sanchez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Sanchez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Dewa tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sanchez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dewa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sanchez has managed to get both his arms back between Dewa's legs - danger averted.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sanchez with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Tinju Dewa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Sanchez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Dewa backs up against the cage.
Dewa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dewa misses with a low kick.

Dewa takes the fight into the clinch.

Sanchez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dewa throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dewa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dewa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sanchez tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Dewa manages to circle out of the way.
Dewa throws out a leg kick but Sanchez moves out of range and Dewa only half commits.
It looked like Sanchez wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dewa enables Sanchez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dewa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Dewa wants to control but Sanchez passes easily into half guard.
Sanchez wants to control but Dewa is keeping him busy.
Sanchez throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sanchez stalling.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dewa trying to control from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sanchez darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sanchez throws a series of punches but Dewa moves out of range.
Dewa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sanchez swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Dewa throws a push kick but Sanchez slaps the foot to one side.

Dewa closes the distance and clinches.

Sanchez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Sanchez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dewa can do to turn this around?
