Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Renato James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicke Wandor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphy's - Shipping Up To Boston. Wandor is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jedi Mind Tricks - Deathbed Doctrine. Renato James has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James moves in looking to clinch but Wandor pushes him off.
Wandor chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before James can pounce on him.
Wandor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily.
Wandor tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and James holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
James tries a knee to the head but Wandor blocks it.
Wandor wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but James has him pressed against the cage.
James tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Knees in the clinch landing for Wandor.
James takes a knee right on the jaw!

It looks like Renato James has been cut.

Wandor jumps guard but James stands there with Wandor around his waist. Wandor gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Wandor connects with a nasty looking knee right to James's face.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Wandor.
Wandor drops down looking for an ankle pick but James pulls his leg out and moves away.
Renato James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicke Wandor.

and James counters with a nice uppercut.

Wandor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? James is fending him off so far but Wandor persists. Nope, James circles away and we're back to standing.
James tries to bum rush Wandor with a series of wild strikes but Wandor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
James looks to clinch
and Wandor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Wandor counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Wandor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
BOOM! Wandor connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Wandor looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Wandor trying to control but he's not successful this time.
James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wandor on the ground.

James wants to try and get back to his feet.
Wandor unloads with some shots from mount but James bucks and avoids them well.

Wandor looking to secure an arm triangle but James defends it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wandor gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Wandor tries to clinch but James moves out of range.
James wants to clinch but Wandor slips to the side

and Wandor counters by moving into the clinch.
James misses with a knee strike.

Wandor ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wandor no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Wandor is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Wandor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
James has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wandor is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

James is sitting in close to Wandor's body. Wandor has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! James is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, James is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Wandor.
