Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Declan Morris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marx Bronson!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson swings for the body but Morris moves out of range.
Morris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bronson.
Bronson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Morris manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Morris shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bronson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Bronson is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morris wants to take a breather but Bronson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Morris.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bronson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Morris defends well.
Bronson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Morris should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bronson has tightened it up now! Morris should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
