Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Octavius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Keller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gaius Octavius !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jim Keller!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Octavius .

Octavius closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Octavius thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Octavius tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
We've been hearing that Octavius has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Octavius cracks Keller with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Keller sneaks back into half guard.

Octavius is looking for a kimura here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Keller trying to control from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Octavius is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Keller doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Octavius .

Octavius gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
No luck for Octavius with that takedown attempt.

Octavius looking to score a takedown here. Keller is defending well but Octavius drives through and ends up in Keller's guard.
Keller looking for a sweep. Not yet Keller, not yet.

Octavius has gone for a leg lock! Keller slips out almost immediately though and dives into Octavius 's guard.


Octavius has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Keller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Octavius is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Octavius escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Keller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Octavius working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Keller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Octavius is tightening it up a little... Keller has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Keller reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Keller taps out! Nice BJJ there by Octavius !

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Gaius Octavius !
