Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Tirado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conner has chosen The Man Who Sold The World as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tirado misses the shot to the body.
A thudding body kick lands there by Conner!

Conner connects with a leg kick. Tirado looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Tirado takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Conner gets tackled into the cage by Tirado. Tirado maintains the clinch.

We've been hearing reports that Tirado has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Conner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tirado misses with a hook. Conner ducked under it nicely.
A shot to the liver by Conner. Beautiful body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Donk. Tirado catches Conner right on the button with a cross.
Tirado is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Conner is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tirado rather than just go for the knockout.
Conner takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Tirado has cracked Conner with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Tirado lands another huge swinging hook and Conner tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Conner, before Tirado can land any more shots!
