Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hardy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hardy holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hardy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Watson has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Hardy is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Watson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hardy is just riding it out for now. Watson eventually gives up the hold.

Hardy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Scott Hardy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hardy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
