Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ravel Marques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marques has chosen Slipknot - Before I Forget as his entrance music. Ravel Marques is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a sloppy head kick

and Marques counters with a head kick that drops Johnson to the mat! Johnson scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Marques misses with a head kick.
Marques pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Johnson fails with a takedown attempt.
Marques moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Johnson avoids the head kick by Marques.
Horrible takedown attempt by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Marques, which made it look bad.
Marques throws a head kick that misses.
Johnson attempts a counter takedown but Marques avoids it well and moves away.
Marques throws the kick towards the body but Johnson avoids it.

Marques has managed to clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marques lands an elbow inside that Johnson shrugs off.

It looks like Anthony Johnson has been cut.
Marques misses with some punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee is keeping an eye on Marques - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Marques with a knee to the head.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Marques landing knees to the body.
Marques lands an elbow just above Johnson 's eye.

Anthony Johnson's cut is getting worse.
Marques unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Johnson takes a knee to the side of the body.
Johnson takes an elbow to the forehead.

Anthony Johnson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Johnson is pressed against the cage. Marques pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Johnson! Two more big strikes from Marques and Johnson crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

After the fight, Ravel Marques was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
