Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Gotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rab Ferd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gotti's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The King of New York. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rab Ferd!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gotti counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ferd tries to move into range but Gotti moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ferd takes one to the chin there.
Ferd cracks Gotti with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Gotti scores with a one two! Ferd had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
A big right from Ferd misses.
Gotti ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ferd moves away.
Ferd fails with the takedown.
Ferd avoids the body shot from Gotti.

and Gotti counters with a leg kick.
John Gotti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rab Ferd.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gotti lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Ferd throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gotti scores with the left hand. Ferd knows he should have avoided that one.
Ferd takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Gotti looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gotti lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Gotti wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Gotti lets loose with a powerful body kick. Ferd will feel that in the morning.

Ferd doesn't manage to clinch there - Gotti circles away.
Ferd walks into a left hand.
Gotti waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ferd.
A shot to the liver by Ferd. Beautiful body shot.
A punch combination from Gotti misses.
A swing and a miss from Ferd.
It looked like Gotti was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ferd looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gotti connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ferd momentarily.
Nice straight punches there by Gotti. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gotti.
Nice cross by Ferd.
Ferd misses with a looping left.
Gotti misses the shot to the body.
And Ferd tries to counter it with a takedown but Gotti pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ferd or perhaps it was just good defense by Gotti, which made it look bad.
Ferd takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ferd throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gotti half committed to a counter leg kick.

Gotti looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Gotti lands a couple of elbows.
Gotti is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Ferd is looking for a triangle but Gotti pushes his legs off easily.
Gotti has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gotti slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ferd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gotti can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ferd is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gotti rolls with it to try and escape but Ferd cranks on the arm and Gotti is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

A less than humble Rab Ferd misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
