Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Donte Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Zu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mason Zu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zu lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Zu throws a nice looking combination but Hogan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hogan closes the distance and clinches up with Zu, looking for a takedown. Hogan pushes Zu against the cage but Zu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zu defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hogan.
Zu misses with a leg kick.
As Zu tries to get set, Hogan tries to push him back and clinch up but Zu manages to avoid the attempt.
Zu ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Zu goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Zu wants to get back to striking at distance but Hogan won't allow it.
Zu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Zu is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hogan is trying to pull guard but Zu has him pressed against the cage.

Hogan keeps control of Zu as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Hogan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zu throws a series of strikes that have Hogan backpedaling.

Zu's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Zu duly obliges.

and Hogan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hogan.
Hogan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Zu just stands there and leans against the cage.

Zu has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A frustrated look appears on Zu's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Hogan jumps guard but Zu turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Hogan tries to keep at a distance but Zu has taken the fight into the clinch.

Zu lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Hogan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hogan wants to control but Zu is keeping busy.
Zu tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Hogan.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mason Zu dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Zu throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Zu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zu throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hogan is looking to clinch.

Zu gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Zu tries to circle away but Hogan has him pinned against the cage.
Zu has had enough of the clinch but Hogan keeps him there for the moment.
Zu has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hogan drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hogan wants to stand up but Zu is controlling him.

Zu decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
No joy there for Zu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hogan tries to counter by clinching up but Zu breaks away and moves out of range.
Hogan avoids the head kick by Zu.
Hogan throws a series of punches but Zu moves out of range.
Zu throws a one two combo.
Zu throws a head kick that misses.

Zu has taken the fight to the clinch.
Zu is trying to push Hogan away but Hogan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Zu tries to break free but Hogan pushes him back against the cage.

Zu has Hogan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Zu pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hogan tumbling to the mat - Zu dives into Hogan's guard.
Hogan scores with a short punch from the bottom.
Zu looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Zu wants to control from the top but Hogan keeps moving.

Zu slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Hogan tries to strike from the bottom.

Zu stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Zu misses with a body shot.
A leg kick checked by Hogan.
Zu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hogan circles away quickly and effectively.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Zu lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hogan has a takedown stuffed.
Hogan shoots in and drives through. Zu sprawls well.
Zu closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Zu throws a series of punches but Hogan moves out of range.
Zu throws a head kick but Hogan moves out of range.
Zu is breathing heavily.

Zu moves into range and clinches up with Hogan.

Hogan breaks the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Hogan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zu won't be happy with that.

Mason Zu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Zu darts in and clinches Hogan up against the cage.
Hogan tries to pull guard but Zu won't allow it.

Hogan gets control of Zu's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hogan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hogan holds on and takes a little breather.

Zu stands up from guard. Let's bang!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zu works over Hogan's head and body with a nice combination.

Hogan is rocked!
Zu is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Zu shuts the power down on Hogan. Lights out, game over! Zu is your winner.

A very excited looking Mason Zu rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
