The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ford gets tackled into the cage by Washington. Washington maintains the clinch.
Ford blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Washington fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Washington closes the distance and clinches.
Ford tries to pull guard but Washington holds him up against the cage and eventually Ford drops back down to his feet.
Ford tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Washington gets control of Ford's arms and successfully pulls guard. Washington will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Ford gets caught flat footed, as Washington shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ford really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Washington ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Washington no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Washington is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Ford presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Ford drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Washington gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Washington changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ford looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Washington has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ford is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Washington yanks on the arm and Ford is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Washington.
