Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jorn Anthriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorn Anthriel!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Gracie connects with the punch.
Anthriel slips under a jab.
Gracie takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gracie throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Anthriel counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gracie lands with a good body shot.
Gracie misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Anthriel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch combination from Anthriel misses.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Anthriel as he jumps to the side.

Anthriel tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Anthriel was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Gracie ducks under a wild hook from Anthriel.
Gracie swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Gracie turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Gracie throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Anthriel counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Nice defenses there by Anthriel.
Anthriel is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Gracie.
Anthriel scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though.
Anthriel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gracie throws a big counter head kick but Anthriel avoids it with no problem.
Anthriel throws a jab when Gracie was well out of range.

An attempted straight right counter from Anthriel misses the target.
Gracie throws a poor cross that misses
and Anthriel makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Gracie jabs Anthriel right on the nose. Anthriel blinks but takes it well.
Gracie lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
We've been told by Anthriel's head coaches at Loucademia muito crazy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Gracie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Anthriel.
Gracie throws a left and a right that both miss
and Anthriel counters with a left to the body.
Gracie throws a sloppy head kick and Anthriel moves out of range easily.
Anthriel tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gracie manages to circle out of the way.
Anthriel blocks a jab.

Gracie fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gracie. Anthriel does a little dance to reset his feet.
Anthriel slips a jab from Gracie.
An attempted straight right counter from Anthriel misses the target.
Gracie throws the left hand but Anthriel avoids the punch easily.
Anthriel was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Gracie throws a poor cross that misses
and Anthriel counters with a straight right hand.
Gracie misses with an uppercut. Anthriel saw that one coming.
It looked like Anthriel was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jorn Anthriel will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Gracie walks into a jab.
Gracie tries to clinch up.
Anthriel seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Anthriel lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand.
Gracie gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Anthriel moves into the clinch.
Anthriel is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gracie can do to turn this around?

Gracie decides to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anthriel tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.
Anthriel is stalling in the full guard.
Anthriel wants to stand and escape but instead Gracie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Anthriel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gracie is controlling him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Gracie stopping the sweep attempt from Anthriel.
Anthriel wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Anthriel takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gracie swings widly with a right hand
and Anthriel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Gracie is rocked!

Anthriel works Gracie's body with a nice hook.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Anthriel finish him?
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Anthriel finds Gracie's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Gracie flops back against the ropes, eyes gazing into the distance. Anthriel lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Gracie will be OK.
