Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ghoul Ghotha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cosmo Carboni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 44 - 43 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ghoul Ghotha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cosmo Carboni!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghotha staying out of range there.
Ghotha appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Carboni ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ghotha moves away.
Ghotha ducks under a wild hook from Carboni.
Ghotha tries to counter with a takedown but Carboni is quick to defend against it.
Carboni scores with a jab to the head.
Ghotha takes a jab right on the kisser.
Carboni thuds a left hand into Ghotha's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carboni misses with a hook.
Carboni fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carboni is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ghotha.
Carboni stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carboni wants it to stay on the feet.
Carboni has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ghotha defending well as Carboni loads up on a big left hand.
Cosmo Carboni is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A jab from Ghotha finds it's way through Carboni's defenses.
Ghotha keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Carboni.
Carboni swings for the body but Ghotha moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Ghotha on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Ghotha shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carboni's guard.
Ghotha controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ghotha postures up in Carboni's guard and throws a big left but Carboni blocks it.
Ghotha pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carboni is keeping the position for now.
Ghotha in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Carboni really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ghotha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ghotha is working Carboni over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ghotha throws a big right hand that misses.
Ghotha stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carboni swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ghotha with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carboni can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ghotha controls the pace.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ghotha accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cosmo Carboni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carboni misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carboni pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Carboni throws a jab but it's blocked by Ghotha.
Carboni misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ghotha.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A shot to the liver by Carboni. Beautiful body shot.
Carboni takes a swing at Ghotha's ribcage but misses.

Ghotha shoots in and bounces Carboni off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ghotha throwing strikes but missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ghotha drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ghotha jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ghotha stands and throws Carboni's legs to the side, diving into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cosmo Carboni will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Carboni digs a good body shot into Ghotha's ribs.

Ghotha scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Ghotha wants to take a breather but Carboni is having none of it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Carboni keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ghotha lands strikes from half guard.
Ghotha looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Ghotha wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carboni keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ghotha moves into full mount! Carboni won't be happy about that!
Ghoul Ghotha overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ghotha trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ghotha looking to finish Carboni with some ground and pound. This is bad for Carboni!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ghotha tries to control but Carboni wriggling away.
Carboni is trying desperately to improve position.
Ghotha looking to ground and pound but Carboni is blocking nicely.
Carboni is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Ghotha working the ground and pound effectively.
Ghotha lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Carboni hang on?
Ghotha cracks Carboni with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.


It looks like Cosmo Carboni has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ghotha breaks from Carboni's wrist control and lands an elbow.


That has opened up Cosmo Carboni's cut even more.
Carboni is looking to get to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ghotha lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.


Cosmo Carboni's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Cosmo Carboni's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ghoul Ghotha!
