And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Cutwood!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
War with a nice cross.


It looks like Carlos Cutwood has been cut.
War misses with a looping right.
War scores with a kick to the midsection.
War connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Cutwood has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Cutwood moves out of range as War strikes.
War misses with a looping left.
War avoids the body shot from Cutwood.
A swing and a miss from War.
War uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cutwood.
War fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cutwood manages to avoid it.
Cutwood scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Cutwood throws an overhand right that lands on War's shoulder, as War tries to avoid the shot.
War keeps the fight on the outside.
War drops his hands momentarily and Cutwood takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Cutwood misses with a wild body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

War appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Cutwood pushes War up against the cage in a clinch.

War ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. War no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

War has an active guard here but Cutwood has managed to pass into half guard.
Cutwood is looking to advance position but War won't allow it.
War wants to get back to full guard.
Cutwood tries to pass the half guard into mount. War knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Cutwood perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cutwood prevents War from improving his position.
Cutwood is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

War wants to improve his position but Cutwood is controlling well.

War is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cutwood pulls his head out easily.

War manages to get to full guard.

War throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cutwood escapes and throws War's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cutwood tries to move to mount but War blocks the move with his legs.
War is looking to regain half guard here but Cutwood keeps moving and retains side control.
War is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cutwood's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Cutwood slows the pace down in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
War tries to get to full guard but Cutwood has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Carlos Cutwood will probably get the nod.

It looks like Holy War has been cut.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Cutwood in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
War throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cutwood lands a jab to War's midsection.
War drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
War circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carlos Cutwood seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Cutwood forces War back against the cage and clinches.
Cutwood tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
War misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cutwood is trying to maintain a safe position but War gets an underhook and turns Cutwood into the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, War creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Cutwood gets cracked there but stands up to it.
War takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
War throws a half hearted mid kick.
War fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cutwood manages to avoid it.
Cutwood replies with a solid counter kick to the body but War blocks it well.
War throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cutwood's waist but Cutwood gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing War off to one side.
War keeps the fight on the outside.
Cutwood drops War with a big left hand! War is injured, injured bad! Cutwood jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
