Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Harold Boone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Gene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Harold Boone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Gene!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Boone.
Gene unleashes a big counter combination but Boone bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
A combination from Boone does no damage.
That kick from Gene tenderised Boone's leg. Boone is trying to keep his angry face on.
Boone misses with an uppercut
and Gene counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Harold Boone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boone misses with a double jab
and Gene counters with a nice body shot.
Boone misses with a lunging right hand
and Gene counters with a solid body kick.
Gene slips a jab and a cross from Boone.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boone lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gene backs up against the cage.
It looks like Frank Gene has been cut.
Gene has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gene there as he acknowledges the shot.
Boone throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gene! But no joy.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boone works over Gene's head and body with a nice combination.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boone misses with a combination
and Gene decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Boone's guard.
Gene is stalling in the full guard.
Gene lands a couple of elbows.
Boone trying to keep a closed guard but Gene is proving a slippery customer.
Boone has momentary wrist control but Gene slips an elbow through the middle.
Gene scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gene's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Gene looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gene trying to control but Boone is working from the bottom.
Gene throws a big elbow that misses.
Gene working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Boone wants to stand and escape but Gene is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boone wants to get back to his feet but Gene passes into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gene lands a nice short elbow.
Gene performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Gene not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gene is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Gene working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Gene is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Boone can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Boone is rocked!
Gene landing strikes from the mount.
Oh Boone is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gene on the ground.
Gene controlling from the full mount.
Gene unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Boone wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Gene celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Gene!
