The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swift misses with a body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McGordon is defended easily by Swift.
McGordon stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Swift.
Casey Swift seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swift feints a jab promting McGordon to slip. Swift then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. McGordon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Swift throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Swift misses with the combination.
Nice sprawl there from Swift as McGordon shoots in.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Swift throws a sloppy head kick and McGordon moves out of range easily.
As Swift tries to get set, McGordon tries to push him back and clinch up but Swift manages to avoid the attempt.

Swift has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Swift scores with a hook to the body. McGordon takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
McGordon fails with a takedown attempt.

McGordon definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Swift's corner calls for a 1-2. Swift obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Swift. McGordon shrugs it off though.
Swift does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

McGordon fails with the takedown.
McGordon moves out of range as Swift throws a body kick.
Swift scores with a push kick.
McGordon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Swift throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGordon.
McGordon tries a head kick but it misses.

McGordon avoids a punch combination nicely.

The fight stays on the outside here - McGordon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Swift lands with a big left! McGordon is wobbled badly! Swift comes in with a flurry of punches and drops McGordon to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
