PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zander Murie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nycky Downtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Downtime has chosen Bring It as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Murie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Downtime's guard.
Downtime wants to sweep here but Murie controlling him for the moment.

My spies in Facebreaker Academy - Striking inform me that Downtime has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

This has been an exciting period of action!

That was a close second round but I would say that Zander Murie will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zander Murie.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Murie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
