Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keiran Corkhill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Robinson!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson throws a big shot that misses.
Robinson's coach down at LOD: Performance Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Robinson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Corkhill shoots for a double leg takedown but Robinson sprawls well. He's pushed Corkhill's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The fighters circling - Robinson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Robinson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Corkhill's head backwards.


It looks like Keiran Corkhill has been cut.
Corkhill moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Corkhill.
Corkhill shoots in but Robinson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Oooh a lovely combination from Robinson sends Corkhill down but not out. Robinson dives into side control looking to finish.

Robinson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Oh Corkhill is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Corkhill takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Corkhill seems to have got his legs back now.

Robinson waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Corkhill. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Corkhill to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Corkhill wants to control but Robinson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Let's hope that Robinson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Corkhill is trying to maintain the position but Robinson is very close to passing his half guard.

Corkhill tries for a takedown but Robinson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Robinson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Robinson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Robinson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Corkhill backs up against the cage.
Sean Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Corkhill shoots in and drives through. Robinson sprawls well.

Robinson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sean Robinson seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Corkhill shoots in looking for a takedown but Robinson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Corkhill's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Robinson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Robinson, as that shot connected.

Corkhill goes for a takedown in the clinch but Robinson prevents it.
Corkhill has been working on his balance at Midnight MMA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Robinson.

Corkhill drops back, looking for a kneebar! Robinson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Robinson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Robinson!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Corkhill is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Robinson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Corkhill wants to get back to full guard.

Robinson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Robinson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Corkhill swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Corkhill looking for a triangle here. Robinson is fighting it but it looks tight! Corkhill pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Robinson is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Keiran Corkhill!
