Bimba comes to the cage accompanied by Quadras by Mestre Bimba. Rearden has chosen Irigy Hónaljmirigy - Rúgj Chuck Norris (Chuck Norris parody by Hungarians) as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rearden lands with a good body shot.
Bimba takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Rearden fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bimba has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Bimba lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
We've been informed that Rearden has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Rearden throws a punch but it's blocked by Bimba.

Rearden swings wildly with an uppercut but Bimba uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rearden drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bimba gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bimba lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Bimba drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rearden manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bimba has Rearden in his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Mestre Bimba will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rearden shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bimba is trying to defend but Rearden finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rearden connects with a nice short shot to Bimba's temple.

Rearden is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bimba can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
