Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Noe Sims!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lars Underwood!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Underwood paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Underwood misses with a body shot.
Nice sprawl there from Sims as Underwood shoots in.
Sims appears to be looking for a big counter.
Underwood swinging wildly here.
Underwood fails with the takedown
and Sims counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Underwood is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Sims counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sims fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Noe Sims has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lars Underwood.

Underwood rushes Sims and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Underwood had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sims defends it easily.
Sims has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Underwood pushes Sims off and gets back to his feet.

Sims gets to his feet. Underwood looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Sims works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Sims is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Underwood drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Underwood jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sims wants to stand up but Underwood is controlling him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That was a close round but I would say that Noe Sims will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Underwood looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sims is fending him off so far but Underwood persists. Nope, Sims circles away and we're back to standing.
Lars Underwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Underwood fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sims looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Underwood shoots in for a takedown but Sims shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Underwood stuffs the takedown attempt from Sims. Sims gets slowly back to his feet.
Lars Underwood is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Underwood tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Underwood throws a head kick but Sims moves out of range.

Underwood has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

It looked like Sims wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Underwood throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sims counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Lars Underwood seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sims fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Underwood closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sims circles away.
Sims thinks about countering with a head kick.
Sims shoots in but no luck this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lars Underwood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sims throws a counter high kick but Underwood was just alert enough to avoid it.
Underwood fails with a takedown attempt.
Underwood shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Sims feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Underwood won't allow Sims to get back to his feet.
Underwood advances to half guard.

Sims is defending against the submission attempts here by Underwood.
Sims looks like he's trying to stand up.
Sims is trying to get back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sims is pressing down on Underwood's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

I would just about give that final round to Lars Underwood.
Well Underwood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
