Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zwayne Baruk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zimowit Pokora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zimowit Pokora!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pokora instigates a clinch.
Baruk looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Pokora ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pokora no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pokora is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pokora accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pokora connects with a couple of short punches.
Pokora must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pokora tries to free his leg and advance position but Baruk is retaining full guard.
Pokora postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Pokora shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Baruk napping and manages to drive through into side control!

We've been hearing good reports from Baruk's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Pokora stands up and we're back to a striking position.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Baruk enables Pokora to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Baruk manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Pokora really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baruk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pokora decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Baruk, up you get!
Pokora lands a brutal head kick. Baruk looks out on his feet and Pokora throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
